Deleting your data

You can ask THE APP FORGE to delete the personal information we hold about you on Comms Forge. If you have an account, say so in the request. If you received messages and have no account, we act on the request against the contact record.

How to ask

Email wesseldavel1@gmail.com from the address we have on file, or send a WhatsApp message from your registered number, with the word DELETE. Tell us your full name and the mobile number or email address you deal with us on, so we can find the right record.

What happens next

• We confirm receipt within two working days.
• We verify that the request comes from you, so that nobody else can have your record removed.
• We delete your contact record and message history, except anything we are legally required to keep.
• We confirm in writing what was deleted and what was retained, and why.

What we cannot delete

South African law requires us to keep certain records even after you ask us to delete your information:

• financial and contractual records relating to an agreement you held with us, for as long as the law requires; and
• a minimal record of your opt-out request itself, so that we do not contact you again by mistake.

If you only want the messages to stop rather than the record removed, reply STOP to any message — that is immediate and needs no verification.
